Endangered one horned rhino in Chitwan
Chitwan National Park is the post popular wildlife park in Nepal; its protected area covers 932 square kilometres. Considered as one of the finest National Parks in Asia, it’s the best place to see a showcase of Nepal’s diverse Flora and Fauna. Found in the Teri, the flat lands in southern Nepal, you can reach Chitwan by a five hour bus ride from either Kathmandu or Pokhara, or a flight to the nearby airport.

The park boasts the rare and endangered Bengal Tiger and White Rhino among its inhabitants. Visitors to the park can enjoy jeep or elephant back safaris, dug out canoe rides in the Rapti River and visits to the elephant stable and breeding centre as well as bathing elephants.

Sauraha is the access town to Chitwan. This hub is the gateway to the National Park and the place where you will find the hotels and lodges all spread out along the sandy beaches of the Rapti River. A chilled out town with shops, restaurants and an internet cafe or two, well away from the hustle and bustle of big city life.
