Nagarkot is the most famous hill station on the rim of the Kathmandu Valley. Just 32 km east of the city, this tranquil town is one of the best places for extensive views of the Himalaya's. Historically, Nagarkot was an old fort used in the Rana regime. Now days the town is a destination for both local and international tourists who come here to escape the city and soak up the culture and scenery of rural Nepal.

Nagarkot and Bhaktapur Tour (2 Days)

This two day escape from Kathmandu takes you to the historical town of Bhaktapur for a half day of sightseeing before heading to the heights of Nagarkot to toast the sun setting over the Himalayas.

ITINERARY

Day 01: Depart Kathmandu and head to Bhaktapur for half-day sightseeing and lunch. In the afternoon drive tuphill o Nagarkot for sunset. Dinner and overnight in Nagarkot.

Day 02: Wake up early for sunrise over the mountains. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before returning to Kathmandu, transferring to the airport for your onward destination.

Note: Extensions to Nagarkot tours are also available to include village and nature hikes, mountain biking, motor bike village tours, trekking to Dhulikhel or Chisapani and sightseeing to Changu Nayaran.
